I know it took a major effort for everybody to work hard on my behalf and so this blog will be tribute to your efforts. As I enter my second week in town, I am not sure what to expect as everything is still relatively brand new to me except for a few modifications. I am hoping to get into some positive groove at my volunteer position where I can understand how things are done as well as feeling comfortable at whatever I am doing. I am also hoping to make a few friends along the way and get to know others a little bit more as I am trying to build upon my social life.
I recognize the effort on a lot of people who worked hard on my behalf in an effort to give me another fresh start. I promised to you guys as well as to myself that I would not let you down as I am here to give it my best effort as we all try to gaze into the future of the likely changes that will occur. The way that I see it, if I win then we all win as this is a group effort.
It is still a little too early to ask me particulars as I am still new to the area and still trying to make a positive impact in the area. Whether it be this job or some other job, I am not sure but as promised I here to do my best.
I should say that I attended a chess club at the University of Oregon and lost the two games that I played. Still it was fun. Went to church last Sunday, my first appearance in several years. I also went down to Saturday's Market this past weekend in the downtown area and checked out the benders that had set up a booth. Below is a picture of me pushing my nephew as he got tired of walking.

Great post! I appreciate the effort you're making too. Good luck with NextStep this week.

ReplyDeleteThings will get more comfortable... takes time, but it seems like you have a great attitude to all this change. by the way, looks like Red Sox had some trouble against Liriano today.
ReplyDeleteI'm finally a registered blog responder.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, Red Sox sucked yesterday. Lost 8-0!!! It's Wakefield...he blows! He needs to retire, go play an old man's sport like golf, and toss the knuckle ball to his kids for batting practice.
hope you enjoyed Jason's gymnastics class. Am sure it was a good time.
Finally and most importantly, you are doing wonderfully. Keep up the commitment and positive attitude, and remember what I told you and how proud I am.
